Joe Biden will be the next President of the United States. He won the election on November 3rd. He defeated President Donald Trump. People have been angry at politics in the US. This meant that more people voted than ever before. Over 151 million people voted in this election.

At first, people thought the election was close. However, in the end, Biden actually won by a big amount. It took four days for Joe Biden to be named the winner. Since it was so close at the beginning, almost every vote had to be counted. The mail-in ballots made it look close at the beginning. Normally, it is known who won before all of the votes are counted. Sometimes it is known who won after only a few states have counted their votes.

Democrats are happy that Joe Biden won. They are not happy about how President Trump has reacted. Trump has not said he lost. On election night, he lied and said he won. Since the election, he has said that there was fraud in the election. He says the votes were illegal. Many people do not believe him. There is no evidence of fraud. People don’t know if Trump will leave in January or if people will need to make him leave. No matter what, Joe Biden will become president on January 20th.
