Countries are locking-down again. This is because of the coronavirus. COVID-19 is spreading faster than before in many countries. In Europe, many countries have started to close things. They don’t want to lock down the same way they did before. The lockdowns before were very strict. The new lockdowns are different in each country.

In France, nine cities are having night lockdowns. This is where everything must close from 9 PM to 6 AM. People are not allowed out of their homes after 9 PM. In the UK, areas have been put into different warning levels. The levels are Medium, High, and Very High. In Very High areas, people are not allowed to meet other people, pubs and bars are closed and people are not allowed to travel out of their areas. Some cities in the UK are arguing against following the “Very High” rules.

In almost all of Europe, the virus is spreading faster than before. Europe did a good job of stopping the first wave. Now, they have been doing a bad job with the second wave.
