There is a theme park in Japan. The theme park is near Tokyo. It has 6 rollercoasters. The theme park had to close for the coronavirus. It has now opened again. Since it reopened, there have been new rules. The rules are to keep people safe. There are normal rules like wearing a mask. There is one rule which is strange. Rollercoaster riders are being asked to be quiet.

People on rollercoasters often shout and scream. Normally this is ok but it could help Covid-19 spread. To keep people safe, the theme park has asked all riders not to scream or shout. They have started a challenge to make it more fun. The challenge is for riders to act as serious as they can. Riders who look very serious on the ride photos can win free passes to the theme park.

The theme park owners hope that making it a game will make people do it. They have said that they won’t punish people for not following the rule. They hope that everyone will.
