The coronavirus has been spreading for many months. Almost every country has been fighting it. In Asia, Covid-19 was controlled quickly with people wearing masks, closing public places and asking people to stay home. In Europe, it took a long time. Europe did not take the virus seriously in the beginning. Most countries waited to take strong actions. However, Europe is now starting to get back to normal because countries did take strong actions eventually. People in Europe can go on vacation soon, many European countries have ended lockdowns and shops have started to open again.

In America, the situation is very different. The virus is not under control because it has not been taken seriously enough. Not enough strong actions have been taken in the US. Many people are refusing to wear masks. There is a big argument between people about the virus because some people even think the virus is fake. Some states have done a good job of controlling the virus. New York and New Jersey were very badly hit by the virus in the beginning but they took strong actions to stop it. Now, it is starting to get better in those states. Many states have not done enough, some have done almost nothing to stop the spread of the virus. Now, the US is having the highest number of new cases almost every day.

The US is now getting more than 40,000 new cases each day. This is because some states opened things too early, even while the virus was still spreading. Some places have ignored the danger of the virus and people have continued like normal this whole time. There were even protests in parts of the US against closing things for the virus. The situation in the US is so bad that the European Union has banned Americans from travelling to the EU. The US now has more than 2.7m cases and that number is increasing very quickly.
