Some states in America are implementing new abortion laws. They want to make abortion illegal or difficult for women to access. Most of these states are in the south, one of which is Georgia. Georgia is one of the most popular places in the world for making movies. Many of the biggest movies and tv shows in the world have been filmed there. For example, most of the Marvel movies were filmed in Georgia.

People around the world are furious about the new abortion laws. They think that women should be able to make their own choice about having a baby. Many of the people who are angry are people who work at movie studios in Georgia. Famous actors and actresses have said that they won’t work in Georgia anymore. Now, many of the biggest movies studios are saying they won’t work there either. Disney and Netflix have both said they won’t make movies or tv shows in Georgia. This is alarming as the film industry is worth about $9.5 billion per year for Georgia.

The law in Georgia means that no baby can be aborted if it has a heartbeat. This makes abortions almost impossible. A heartbeat can be heard as soon as six weeks into being pregnant. This is almost always before the woman knows that she is pregnant.

The law will start in January but many people and companies are still fighting it. They want to stop it before it begins. Hollywood movie studios are very important to Georgia as they provide many jobs to people who live there. It is uncertain whether Georgia will change the law.
