A man from Syria has been trapped in an airport. He has been there for over one month. The airport is in Malaysia but he is not allowed to enter Malaysia. This is why he must stay in the airport.

He was sent to Malaysia when he lost his work visa. He was working in the United Arab Emirates but lost his visa because of the war in his home country. They sent him to Malaysia because it is one of the only countries that gives a visa to Syrian people when they land.

In Malaysia, he was given a 3 month tourist visa but he could not fix his situation in that time. When the 3 months ran out, he was banned from Malaysia but he still could not leave to another country. He tried to go to Cambodia but he was denied entry there too.

He cannot go back to Syria because of the war, many people are dying and there are Syrian people trying to escape. The man left Syria a long time before the war, he had been working abroad for many years. However, now he cannot go to a new country because of the war either. Countries are not giving visas to Syrian people very easily.

He is trying lots of different options to try and get to a new country.
